Abu Sallaam al-Abdi says that I went to Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) and asked:
“What do you have to say about one who delays offering the Asr prayer purposely?”
Imam (a.s.) replied, “He will come on the Day of Judgement alone, without his relatives and wealth.”
I asked, “May I be sacrificed for you! Even if he is among the people of Paradise?”
Imam (a.s.) answered, “Yes, even if he is among the people of Paradise.”
I asked, “What will be his position in Paradise?”
Imam (a.s.) responded, “He will be deprived of relatives and wealth over there also. He will stay as a guest of others (in Paradise) and will have no house of his own.”
