عَنْ مَالِكٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ اَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِؑ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى خَدِّي وَ قُلْتُ لَقَدْ عَصَمَكَ اللهُ وَ شَرَّفَكَ فَقَالَ يَا مَالِكُ الْاَمْرُ اَعْظَمُ مِمَّا تَذْهَبُ اِلَيْهِ
Maalik al-Johani reports, “While I was in front of Imam Abu Abdillah (peace be upon him), I put my hand on my thigh and said, ‘Indeed Allah has protected you and honoured you.” He (peace be upon him) replied, “O Maalik! The matter is greater than what you believe.”
Note:
Johani belongs to the Arabian tribe Juhainah.
