🤲🏼🤲🏼 Dua-e-Iftetaah: A Supplication for the Nights of the Holy month of #Ramadan 🤲🏼🤲🏼 🎙️ Recitor: Shaikh Maitham al-Najafi Dua-e-Iftetaah is one of the most famous supplications recited during the nights of the Holy Month of Ramadan. This prayer was narrated by Shaikh Abu Jafar Muhammad Ibne Usman Ibne Saeed al-Amri (r.a.), the second special representative of Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.). He advised reciting this dua every night of Ramadan, noting that angels listen to these supplications and seek forgiveness for the person reciting them. The name "Iftetaah" (Opening) is taken from its first line: "O Allah, I begin the praise with Your glorification". ⚫️ Spiritual Themes and Content 👉 Recognition of Allah: The supplication contains elevated themes regarding the recognition of God, His attributes, and His mercy. 👉 Divine Justice: it reflects on His kindness in granting forgiveness and His severity in accountability and retribution. 👉 Delayed Prayers: The beginning of the dua addresses reasons why the fulfillment of needs might be delayed and mentions Allah’s most significant blessings. 👉 Salawat on the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.): A major portion includes specific blessings upon Prophet Muhammad and his pure family (a.s.), mentioning their names and titles. ⚫️ Longing for the Awaited Imam A significant part of the prayer expresses a deep longing for the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) and the establishment of a just government. This envisioned state is one where Islam and its followers are honored, while hypocrisy and its proponents are disgraced.
