Ibn Abbas informs, “I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) prostrate five times without ruku’. I asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, (You performed) prostrations without ruku?’ He (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) replied,

‘Yes. Jibraeel (peace be upon him) came to me and informed, ‘O Muhammad! Verily, Allah – Mighty and Majestic be He – loves Ali’ so I prostrated and raised my head. Then, he told me, ‘Verily, Allah – Mighty and Majestic be He – loves Fatema’ so I prostrated and raised my head. Then, he told me, ‘Verily, Allah loves Hasan’ so I prostrated and raised my head. Then, he told me, ‘Verily, Allah loves Husain’ so I prostrated and raised my head. Then, he told me, ‘Verily Allah loves those who love them, so I prostrated and raised my head’.
