Ibn Abbas reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him and his progeny) informed,
“My mastership and the mastership of my Ahle Bait (peace be on them) is safety from hell-fire.”
Notes:
1. According to Arab litterateurs, walaayah means to help without any expectations while welaayah means to accept the mastership.
2. The aforementioned tradition clearly mentions that helping or accepting the mastership of the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him and his progeny) is not sufficient.
