عَنْ اَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: سَاَلْتُ الرِّضَا ع عَنْ قَوْلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى يا اَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَ كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُونَ الْاَئِمَّةُ الصِّدِّيقُونَ بِطَاعَتِهِمْ.
The narrator (Ahmad Ibn Muhammad) reports, “I asked Imam al-Reza (peace be upon him) about the word of Allah the High, ‘O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with the truthful ones’. He (peace be upon him) replied,
‘Truthful ones implies the Imams, whose (truthfulness) is verified with their obedience.”
