If we glance through history, it becomes clear that Almighty Allah has been disobeyed in every era, be it in the form of Pharaoh or Nimrud, and Satan has deviated every person, big or small. But it is the grace and nobility of Allah that in every era, He has sent His Proof, Guide, and Leader in order to protect us from the onslaught of Satan. But when we look at Surah Hijr (15): Verses 36-38, we find that Allah has given a moratorium to Satan until a specified time.
So the question arises that if Satan’s existence is for a specified time, has Allah appointed anyone to protect us from satanic whisperings until this “specified time”?
The famous Ahle Tasannun traditionalist Shaikh Sulaiman Qunduzi writes in his book Yanaabee’ al-Mawaddah, chapter 71, p. 481 that Wahab Ibn Jam’aa asked Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) concerning Surah Hijr (15): Verses 36-38:
قالَ رَبِّ فَأَنْظِرْني إِلى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ (36)
قالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرينَ (37)
إِلى يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ (38)(36) “He said: My Lord! then respite me till the day when they are raised.
(37) He said: So surely you are of the respited ones.
(38) Till the day of the known time.”
“Which day is that?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “O Wahab! It is the day when Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) will reappear and after that, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) will kill Satan.”
This tradition proves that the one who refused to prostrate before Prophet Adam (a.s.) and pledged to deviate mankind until the “known time” will be killed at the hands of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) after the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.). This belief has been endorsed by Ahle Tasannun scholars.
We pray to Allah that He hastens the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) and protects us from Satanic evils and deviated beliefs during this occultation.
Aameen, O Lord of the worlds.
