Jabir Ibn Yazid Jo’fi narrates that Abu Ja’far Imam Muhammad Baqir (peace be upon him) said:
“On the Day of Judgment, the Holy Quran will come in the best shape and form. He will pass by the Muslims who will say, ‘This man is from us.’ He will go toward the Prophets (peace be upon them) who will say that ‘he is one of us.’
Then he will pass toward the proximate angels who will say that he is one of us until he is before the Lord of Majesty, Mighty and Majestic be He, and will say, ‘O Lord, so and so son of so and so suffered from thirst, spent the night in vigil in the world for (reciting) me so and so son of so and so did not suffer thirst and did not spend his night in vigil (for my recitation).’
Allah, Blessed and High be He, will say, ‘Admit them in paradise.’ He will stand up and they will also rise and follow him. The believing people will be told, ‘Read and climb.’
Then Imam (peace be upon him) said that the believers will read and climb until they will reach their positions that is for them and occupy their places.’”
[Al-Kaafi, vol. 2, p. 601, H. 11]
One thing which is evident from this tradition is that the more a person recites the Holy Quran, the higher will be his grades in Paradise. Apart from this, just like we saw in this tradition that the Holy Quran will intercede on our behalf near Allah if we are vigilant about reciting it in this world.
It means that the one who is with the Holy Quran in this world, the Holy Quran will keep him with it on the Day of Judgement until it settles him in his grades in Paradise.
We pray to Allah to grant us the opportunity to increase our recitation of the Holy Quran and hasten the reappearance of the inheritor of the Holy Quran, His Eminence Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.).
Aameen, O Lord of the worlds!
