The miracle of his (peace be upon him) birth – part 4

Reading Time: 2 minutes

(continued) Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib narrates that when Sayyedah Fatemah binte Asad ibn Hashim (peace be upon her), the respected mother of Ameerul Momineen (peace be upon him) came out of the Holy Kaabah after three days with Imam Ali (peace be upon him) on her hands, she said:

Then when I intended to leave and my son was on my hands, a caller called out to me and said, O Fatima! Name him Ali (the High) because I am the Most High (Aliyy al-Aalaa), and surely I created him from My Power and My Grandeur and My Justice, and I derived his name from My Name and I inculcated in him My Morals, and I handed over to him My Affairs and I made him steadfast in the depths of My Knowledge and he shall be the first to recite Azan on top of My House and he shall break the idols and throw them on their faces and he shall praise me and testify to My Unity (recite La ilaha illa Allah) and he is the Imam after My Beloved and My Prophet and My Chosen among My Creation, Mohammad My Prophet and he is his (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) successor. Then Paradise is for the one who loves him and helps him and Hell is for the one who disobeys him and abandons him and disregards his right.Reference: Amali of Shaikh Toosi (a.r.) p. 707
